Michael Wallander is the Senior Vice President of Solar Finance for Petros Energy Solutions.
He joined Petros upon its acquisition of Demeter, which he cofounded in 2010 to provide cost-effective financing of solar and distributed energy projects. Demeter was selected for a U.S. Department of Energy SunShot award for its pioneering PACE PPA financing vehicle, which lowers the cost of commercial solar projects by improving credit assessment and risk mitigation.
In addition to his role as founder and president of Demeter, Mike previously co-founded EcoCity Partners, a Florida PACE administrator that was acquired by Renew Financial in 2015.
Prior to Demeter and EcoCity, Mike maintained a Florida-based legal practice and was an attorney for the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig based in the Palm Beach office.
Mike graduated with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center with an LL.M. in Securities & Financial Regulation and earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Florida.
