Mansoor Ghori

CEO & Co-Founder

Mansoor Ghori is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Petros.

Prior to Petros, he was the President and CEO of Accent Capital and was responsible for the investment and administrative activities of the firm. He was also a Managing Director at Transamerica Technology Finance Corporation, which was subsequently acquired by GE Capital, and a Principal at Sternhill Partners, a $100 million venture capital firm based in Houston.

Prior to joining Sternhill, he was the Founder and SVP/Regional Manager of Imperial Bank’s Southwest Region of the Emerging Growth Industries Group (acquired by Comerica Bank). He was also a VP in the National Accounts Division of Silicon Valley Bank, focusing on investments in high-technology companies in Texas.

Mansoor is a graduate of Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, California and holds an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston.

Petros Partners - Jim Stanislaus

Jim Stanislaus

CFO & Co-Founder

Jim Stanislaus is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Petros.

Prior to Petros, Jim was the CFO & COO of Enhanced Capital Partners, a national, private asset management and investment firm, specializing in utilizing state and federal tax credit programs to finance lower middle market companies in the United States. While there, Jim structured an array of complex, primarily tax credit-based, transactions with Berkshire Hathaway and other financial partners and secured over $700 million in institutional investor commitments. He started and was the Co-Head of the firm’s Tax Credit Monetization business and he also sourced and managed investments for the firm, primarily in Texas.

Prior to joining Enhanced Capital, Jim worked with Reservoir Capital Group, a New York based private investment firm with over $6.5 billion currently under management. Prior to Reservoir, Jim held senior positions at Fortune 50 companies, Dell and Procter & Gamble.

Jim holds an Engineering undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from SMU in Dallas.

Petros Partners - Tommy Deavenport

Tommy Deavenport

Chief Operating Officer

Tommy Deavenport is Chief Operating Officer of Petros PACE Finance.

Tommy has over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to Petros, Tommy was on the founding team and a Managing Director of Square 1 Bank (acquired by Pacific Western Bank).

Prior to Square 1 Bank Tommy served at AV Labs, an accelerator fund of Austin Ventures.

Prior to AV Labs, Tommy held an SVP role at Imperial Bank (acquired by Comerica). Tommy was also co-founder of VCFO, a leading fractional accounting firm headquartered in Austin.

Tommy holds a BBA in accounting from Texas State University and is a Texas CPA.

Petros PACE - Jake Kelley

Jake Kelley

SVP – PACE Originations

Jake Kelley has spent his entire 17-year career in the commercial real estate finance business. He was the founder and principal of Redbud Capital, an Austin-based boutique advisory business focused on arranging debt & equity capital on behalf of institutional and private CRE investors/developers. Prior to forming Redbud Capital, Mr. Kelley led JLL’s Capital Markets business in central Texas, and prior to that he was a partner in CBRE’s Debt & Equity Finance business, both based in Austin. Before moving to Texas, Mr. Kelley worked in the New York office of Terra Capital Partners where he sourced mezzanine debt investments for the company’s high-yield debt funds. Prior to that, he was a Director in Lehman Brothers’ London office where he originated structured-debt investments secured by European assets. Mr. Kelley began his career on Morgan Stanley’s CMBS desk in New York. He holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

Petros PACE - Josh Smith

Josh Smith

VP Legal and Policy

Josh Smith is the Vice President of Legal and Policy for Petros PACE Finance.

Josh has considerable experience in the C-PACE industry, having previously served as Senior Transaction Counsel to CleanFund. Prior to CleanFund, Josh worked as a commercial loan administrator for Umpqua Bank. While there, he helped restructure the Commercial Real Estate Servicing Team and processed the following for commercial real estate transactions: Loan extensions, modifications, and workouts. After law school, Josh worked as a law clerk for the Hon. Scott A. Oravec, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of Alaska.

Josh received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 2007, and a J.D. from the University of the Pacific (McGeorge School of Law) in 2010, where he was a member of the Roger Traynor Honor Society and a research assistant for Professor Miriam Cherry.

Petros PACE - Nihar Shah

Nihar Shah

Vice President, Legal

Nihar is based in California and is primarily responsible for the drafting and negotiation of documents for the national Petros PACE Finance business. Nihar began his career as in-house counsel for United Wind, a small wind developer, where he helped develop the first consumer finance platform for lessees of small wind turbines. Subsequent to United Wind, Nihar joined OnPACE Energy Solutions as Chief Operating Officer, where he negotiated the first institutional tax equity investment into a commercial PACE platform.

Nihar holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University, and holds a J.D. from the NYU School of Law.

Petros PACE - Rachel Davis

Rachel Davis

VP – PACE Originations

Rachel Davis is a Vice President of Originations of Petros PACE Finance. Rachel is based in Texas and focuses on building our PACE business in Houston and in other select PACE markets throughout the country.

She began her career at Reliant Energy, a Houston based provider of electricity and smart energy services. As a Marketing Manager, she spent 12 years working with customers and consultants managing commodity price risk through electricity contracts in Texas and the Northeast. Most recently, Rachel led a national business development team for NRG Energy, a Fortune 200 energy company, where along with her team, she pursued partnerships for onsite/offsite solar, wind, community solar, energy efficiency and combined heat and power systems with Fortune 500 clients. Additionally, she worked with strategic partner firms in the energy efficiency sector to develop and implement sales acquisition strategies for thermal energy storage and evaporative pre-cooling solutions for utility programs in California. Most of her experience is with clients in the commercial real estate, retail, hospitality, and banking sectors.

Rachel graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Marketing.

Petros PACE - Dustin Gabriel

Dustin Gabriel

VP – PACE Originations

Dustin Gabriel is a Vice President of Originations of Petros PACE Finance. Dustin is based in Dallas and focuses on building the PACE business in the Dallas area and in other select PACE markets throughout the country.

He joins Petros from Bank of the Ozarks, where he oversaw the construction and operations of a national loan portfolio for 7.2 million square feet valued at $2.3 billion in commercial real estate. Prior to Bank of the Ozarks, he worked at Commercial Real Estate Investment Management where he was responsible for commercial real estate asset management, leasing, disposition, finance and operations.

He is also a former strategy and research consultant at Cicero Group.
Mr. Gabriel is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management and holds an MPA with an emphasis in finance from the Romney Institute.

Petros PACE - Ben Elmquist

Ben Elmquist

VP – PACE Originations

Ben Elmquist is a Vice President of Originations of Petros PACE Finance. Ben is based in Denver, Colorado and focuses on building our PACE business in Colorado and in other select PACE markets throughout the country.

He joins Petros from GDI Capital. As the founder of the company, Mr. Elmquist created the firm to facilitate real estate secured transactions with private capital and secured multiple lending sources to provide funding for CRE. Prior to his role at GDI, he worked at Bank of the West and Wells Fargo Bank — working as a CRE senior relationship manager in both roles.

Jeff Walter, CFA

Senior Financial Analyst

Jeff Walter is a Senior Financial Analyst of Petros. Prior to joining Petros, Jeff was a Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo. While there, he underwrote a variety of credit and treasury management products for middle market companies. He was also a Financial Analyst at Wells Fargo and successfully completed their Financial Analyst Program.

Jeff holds a BS in Finance from Illinois State University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Petros Partners - Matt Malcom

Matt Malcom

Consultant

Matt Malcom is a consultant with Petros and a certified public accountant, licensed in Maryland and Texas.

Prior to working with Petros, Matt worked for Reznick Group, a national accounting firm, for fifteen years. During that time, Matt worked with all types of tax credit transactions, including New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), historic tax credits (HTC), renewable energy credits, including the Section 1603 grant program, and other credit programs.

Beginning in 2005, Matt became extensively involved in the NMTC program, working with over 40 Community Development Entities (CDEs) to help structure transactions as well as provide tax and audit services. He has worked with well over 250 transactions in the NMTC program, including projects that involved non-profits, entertainment facilities, hotels, office buildings, health and wellness facilities, retail, charter schools, and numerous other transactions. In addition, some of these transactions have included the combination of NMTC with HTC to increase community and economic impact as well as create additional benefit for NMTC investors.

Matt graduated from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland with a B.S. in Accounting. He is currently an executive board member of the Austin Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and a director at the state level of TSCPA.

Marcia Singleton is a staff accountant for Petros PACE Finance.

Marcia has over 25 years of accounting experience in both private and public accounting firms. Prior to joining the Petros team, she worked at Carr Riggs & Ingram LLC, focusing on financial services, client training and support, and tax preparation.

Marcia holds a degree in Accounting from Merrick College in North Andover, MA and is a Certified QuickBooks Pro-Advisor.

Petros PACE - Natalie Groves

Natalie Groves

Public Relations Manager

Natalie Groves is a public relations manager for Petros. Prior to joining the Petros team, Natalie was the social media manager at Charles Schwab corporate. During her time at Schwab, Natalie created the content strategy for their social media channels. Prior to Schwab, Natalie worked in the communications department in the President’s Office at the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Natalie spent time as a journalist at KVUE News, the ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas. Natalie worked as an on-air correspondent for KVUE News Daybreak. Natalie was awarded a Texas AP Broadcasters award for her work on KVUE.com.

Natalie holds a journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
